Fortingall and Glen Lyon


Fortingall is a small village near Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland. It stands at the end of Glen Lyon, said by Sir Walter Scott to be the’ …longest, loneliest and loveliest glen in Scotland…’ . The village falls within the National Scenic Area that includes Glen Lyon, the Lawers Range of mountains and the ‘munros’ on the northern side of Glen Lyon.

Fortingall falls within the National Scenic Area that includes the Lawers range of mountains, Glen Lyon and the ‘munros’ north of the Glen. Fortingall itself is a conservation village with a rich archaeological, historical and culteral heritage.
